Problems associated with satellites as camera carrying vehicles are quite different from those of conventional aircraft; paper discusses use of strip cameras and frame cameras in satellite operations; desirable and undesirable characteristics of each camera type are discussed and compared; it is shown that both cameras will have place in future satellites.
