Results presented may serve as guidelines for consideration of landing problems; effect of initial conditions of sinking velocity, angle of attack and pitch rate on impact severity and effect of locating rear gear in various positions; influence of landing gear location on effective masses; results on slide out phase include sliding and rolling friction coefficients determined from tests of various skids and all metal wheels.
