Research made at Univ of Illinois to evaluate test factors affecting efficiency of dry air cleaner for farm tractors and to determine conditions simulating field operation; comparison of absolute filter and air sampling methods concurrently with evaluation of test factors; statistical analysis uncovered relationships that affect air cleaner efficiency tests; correlation of laboratory engine tests with field performance; use of sampling method on oil bath cleaner.
