Takeoff is numerically investigated in non-dimensional terms assuming constant takeoff speed; simple analysis of climbing after takeoff can be made up to obstacle clearance height; takeoff distances indicate possibilities resulting from using aircraft designed for vertical, short takeoff runs, over range of thrust extending from S0/G-0.8 to 1.0.
