In automobile upholstery field there are three types of fabrics used: piece, yarn, and solution-dyed, each of which has certain advantages; development of new fabrics and designs, such as Nylon, rayon, acetate, wool and cotton; requirements which automobile fabrics must meet with respect to crocking, shade, dye stability fading, abrasive testing, and seam strength.
