Computer system at municipal parking ramps in City of Rochester, NY keeps track of total number of spaces in building and number of available spaces on each level of two 8-floor structures; computing equipment, using photoelectric detection, has been in operation since March 1959 with excellent results; characteristics of detector-system; need for individual analysis for application of computing system and type and location of detectors.
