Thornycroft and Co; length 78 ft, breadth 15 ft, draft at heel 4 ft 6 in.; hull is of round bilge form with transom stern and cutaway keel; planking is of double-skin teak on timbers of chengal with oiled fabric between skins; three Thornycroft-Rover Meteorite diesel engines each develop 275 bhp; engines enable launch to stay at sea for three to four days cruising at 11 knots for 500 mi or at about 14 knots for 360 mi; plan.
