Description of experiments made with Diesel-type radial air-cooled aircraft engines; engine has weight per horsepower of less than 3 lb., eliminates fire hazard entirely, and is said to carry plane 25 per cent further per pound of fuel than present types; Packard reduction on weight brought down to 3 from approximately 100 lb. per horsepower.
