New series XI is broad arrow-type engine, having three banks of 4 cylinders each; with compression ratio of 6 to 1, engine develops 530 hp. at 2350 r.p.m.; bore 5 1/2 in.; stroke 5 1/8 in.; average fuel consumption is 0.50 lb. per b.hp.-hr.; weight including air-screw boss, reduction gear and hand starting gear, exclusive of magneto is 995 lb.; carburetors fitted at rear of engine.
