Observations and recommendations resulting from inspection trip made for Navy Department; recommended that glues be tested according to government specifications, methods of mixing casein glue improved and standardized, personal factor reduced in application of glue, more extensive use made of pressure in gluing, greater care in gluing hard woods, strength of end-grain joints improved, and excess glue removed.
