Description of automatic rudder control developed at Royal Aircraft Establishment, which relies for its sense of direction on free gyroscope, or "gyro azimuth"; control consists essentially of pneumatic ram servo-motor, which operates auxiliary rudder bar and is controlled by air valve attached to azimuth ring of gyroscope.
