Flights of H. Broad, flying de Havilland Hound fitted with Napier series XI engine, established three world's records; useful load of 1000 kg. (2200 lb.) carried; loading of wings and fuselage; Broad was faster with 1000 kg. load over 500 km. than Lasne, carrying 500 kg. over same distance.
