Slot maintains continuity of flow over upper surface of airfoil at angles considerably above burble point, or angle of maximum lift; diagrams of pressure distribution; when plane has reached stalling attitude, slot automatically opens and gives to wing enough increase in lift to maintain steady controlled flight, thus avoiding possibility of plane falling off into spin.
