Details of equipment and plans for two expeditions headed by R. E. Byrd and by G. H. Wilkins are given; they hope to bring back data of inestimable value to meteorologist and to discover and plot new fishing grounds of great economic value; Wilkens equipment consisted of two Lockheed Vegas powered with Whirlwinds; Fairchild, Ford, Fokker, and General Airplane Co.'s planes taken south by Byrd.
