Large transportation units which may be loaded uniformly and quickly and which may be operated by either two or three men have been obtained by Cleveland Railway in its purchase of 25 articulated-type cars from G. C. Kuhlman Car Co., Cleveland, O.; articulated unit has advantage of lower operating costs, lower first cost, lower annual maintenance cost and lighter weight.
