Description of tests with compressorless, solid-injection, full-Diesel engine of 4-cycle operation, as developed by M. A. N. of Germany, for application in all industrial automotive installations; 50-hp. engine installed in 4-ton truck; performed as well as gasoline engine of same bore in same truck, but with greater fuel economy and more lugging ability; American-built 4-cycle engine tested; similar to heavy-duty automotive-type gasoline engine; engine started by electric starters or by two-cylinder air-cooled gasoline engine; controlled by two levers regulating fuel pump, replaces magneto.
