Engine, of standard Fiat design, is of trunk-piston type; each cylinder of 250 mm. bore, stroke 450 mm.; at speed of 270 r.p.m.; power developed 110 b.hp.; particular attention has been paid to piston design; engine drives its own scavenging-air pump, injection-air compressor, lubricating-oil and cooling-water pumps.
