Industry is threatened from two directions; State railways want, as protection against motor-truck traffic; imposition on latter of special taxes sufficient to make carriage by truck unprofitable; other threat lies in effort of alcohol-distilling industry to force motor industry to use industrial alcohol as admixture in regular fuel.
