System, developed for small and medium-size ships, such as were formerly equipped with Simplex balance rudder of Deutscher Werft, consists of electric part for power generation and remote control, and hydraulic part for power transmission; current generated in starting dynamo steers pump motor so that rudder is brought into rotation; secondary part of hydraulic power-transmission organ consists of pump and of two pistons actuated by steering fluid; pump is directly coupled to motor of electric unit.
