Spicer device, produced by Dana Corp, Fort Wayne, Ind, and adopted by Studebaker Packard Corp as standard on 1956 Packard Caribbean models, is designed as torque divider and provides sufficient traction torque to nonspinning wheel and certain percentage of torque transfer to wheel with poor traction; applicability in light trucks and station wagons; advantages.
