Laying of rails directly on cement floor of subway tunnel by means of stud bolts and adhesive cement, without using ties and ballast, proved reliable after 6 mo practical operation of 400-m-long test section; construction results in considerable savings, since tunnel height is 30-35 cm lower than usual.
