Considerations influencing detection of flaws in Fiberglas rocket motor cases by infrared scanning included manner of heating case, background noise contributions, and interpretation of data yielded by variation of radiant emittance; some experimental results obtained from scans of Fiberglas motor with propellant installed in it are described.
