Author states present specification for distillation range of gasoline and mentions conditions causing transition from former 400-deg. to present 437-deg. fahr. end point; by eliminating certain components of what is generally considered good gasoline, detonation can be eliminated; new fractionation equipment consisting of novel type of bubble tower that permits very close "cutting" of gasoline for elimination of "borderland" mixture, as well as new process of treatment.
