At beginning of 1926 German Railway Co. operated more than 500 miles on railway lines supplied with single-phase alternating current at 15,000 volts, 16 2/3 cycles, with about 250 electric locomotives and a few rail motor cars; further 100 miles of track are in process of electrification and 82 locomotives in course of delivery.
