Characteristics of "Steel Electrician", which is to operate between Chicago and Montreal for subsidiary of United States Steel Corp.; for main propulsion there is 750-hp. d.c. electric motor turning propeller at 135 r.p.m.; power is supplied by three generator sets, each consisting of 300-b.hp. 4-cylinder Nelseco airless-injection engine; direct connected with 205-kw. Westinghouse d.c. generator turning at 225 r.p.m.; three main Diesel engines are of new M. A. N. 4-cycle type.
