Equipped with 6-cylinder Winton engine of new design, direct connected to generator, manufactured by General Electric Co.; it has output of 180 kw. at 1000 r.p.m., and is designed to operate on low-grade fuel oil, such as distillate; cars are 61 5/8 and 73 ft. in length.
