475 cars of type using bevelgear drive have been in use in Paris for 3 years; it is a 4-wheel, center-entrance car; more than four-fifths of entire weight is spring-borne; tests show cars to be economical in operation; chassis is made up entirely of rolled shapes to secure lightness; motor is ventilated type with box frame.
