New type of dashpot shock absorber, with vertical axial travel of 20 in., developed by British Messier, Ltd; fitted with this type of landing gear, aircraft is inherently stable when parked on rolling deck, and is also capable of landing at high descent velocity, 16 fps, without severe rebound.
