Simple cumulative fatigue damage law used to estimate endurance of typical components when subjected to alternating wing loads encountered by aircraft in flight; study of damage in terms of infinitesimally small intervals of alternating load and corresponding fatigue strength; life of structure is governed almost entirely by gust velocity; results compared with criteria suggested by P.B.WALKER, and K. WALKER.
