Uniform flat triangular plate serves as approximation to rudimentary wing and tail surfaces on rockets, bombs, and some aircraft; there is evidence that flat plate vibrations may be correlated with actual delta wings of hollow tapered construction; in one series of plates, delta wing plan form of fixed span is maintained; in other series, fixed span and fixed root chord are maintained.
