Design and operation of fully automatic yard served by 3 main lines; yard is divided into 2 parts; up-yard consisting of 8 reception sidings and engine release road, 48 main sorting sidings and hump avoiding line, 10 departure sidings, 10 secondary sorting sidings, served by knuckle, and 3 recessing sidings; on down side are 10 reception sidings and engine release road, and also 10 departure sidings; measurement, control and fault-finding procedures are described.
