Electronic device developed by Salford Elec Instruments Ltd. can read and record numbers on cars moving at speeds up to 60 mph or more, and automatically transmit numbers to central control; method of reading, said to be first of its kind in world, was devised to provide instant information about location and movement of cars and could lead to highly developed method of car control.
