Development and design of RF components of telemetry system for use on scientific sounding rocket are described; high velocity (Mach 7) of vehicle requires antenna system of low drag and capable of withstanding high temperatures; solid state transmitter, with output approaching one part in 215-260 mc range, uses simple circuits and few parts; method of cross monitoring transmitter and antenna performance of independent RF systems.
