Consolidated Nuclear Steam Generator (CNSG) differs from previous pressurized water reactors in that steam generator is in same pressure vessel as core; it was developed by Babcock and Wilcox Co in cooperation with Maritime Reactors Branch of Atomic Energy Commission; design described supplies steam for 22,000 maximum shp propulsion plant at rate of 224,000 lb/hr at 412 psia and 515 F; tables show weight and core parameter comparisons for Savannah plant and CNSG, and comparison of transportation costs without subsidies for conventional and nuclear ship.
