Paper offers no new reactor concept but discusses fact that all marine reactor installations proposed to date are totally uneconomic; major engineering and ship items are examined which are amenable to modification and cost reduction without impairment to reliability required of marine installation; available and possible reactor types are examined in relation to proposed design variations.
