Remote control system built onto 5-cyl MAN diesel engine with output of 5500 hp; navigational orders are transmitted by engine room telegraph; orders are passed through command signal converter, to be electronically resolved into their component elements by AEG Logistat system; signal pulses are checked for compatibility in their sequence and are then applied to engine controls by means of thrustors and other electrohydraulic regulating gear.
