Paper is concerned with utilization of major elements of Apollo system; 5 logistic concepts are considered in combination with 2 Earth-Moon launch systems to accomplish crew and cargo transfer to lunar surface; LEM and lunar logistics vehicle (LLV) launched by Saturn IB; LEM and LLV launched by Saturn V; LEM and basic LEM converted to cargo carrier with landing capability but without ascent stage; advanced LEM employing cryogenic propellants that allow greater payload; manned LLV obtained by employing off-loaded Apollo command and service module as payload for LLV/Saturn V, in combination with pure cargo versions of LLV/Saturn V.
