Study of operations of logistics flight system in transporting supplies to base and in rotating base personnel; bases may be orbital, lunar or planetary; it is shown that use of computer based mathematical models to simulate space logistics operations provides program planner and systems engineer with information needed in selecting flight transportation system, mission profile, scope of space activities supported, funding requirements, and schedules; Monte Carlo techniques are used in implementing simulation model; example involving furnishing of logistics to extraterrestrial base, inputs to model, and typical results.
