NASA manned spaceflight program includes Mercury one-man spacecraft, Gemini 2-man rendezvous spacecraft, and Apollo lunar landing mission; under study are advanced missions, such as orbiting space station, lunar base, and interplanetary manned missions to provide basic technology for extending efforts when advisable; cumulative technology of these projects will establish sound base for manned interplanetary flight.
