Life support system includes following processes -- carbon dioxide removal, oxygen supply, or oxygen reclamation; water recycling to recover water from urine, washing, humidity control, and contaminant control; not included is food supply; fundamental concept that time of use is most important factor in system weight and weights of equipment used to control environment within spacecraft, including oxygen supply, carbon dioxide removal, humidity control, contaminant control, and spares; problem areas.
