Study of probability of collision between vehicle and meteoroid particles, relationship that takes into consideration flux density of meteoroids, their mass and velocity, exposed area of spacecraft, and exposure time; number of meteoroid penetrations during spacecraft mission can be determined from Poisson's statistical theory; calculation of skin thickness; it is proposed that bumper, or double skin, and unconventional materials may have to be used to keep weight down.
