Examples of gyratory traffic systems and studies relating to traffic management in Bradford, England, are described to demonstrate practical applications of traffic engineering and further avenues of investigation; results of survey of travel habits of shoppers indicate that well designed central road pattern, convenient to movement and setting down of passengers in shopping and business areas, will ensure future role of public service vehicle.
