Modifications in carburetion and ignition systems of farm tractor produced better part-load efficiency and fuel saving of 15% over original design during 1 yr of operation; original carburetor of test tractor was modified to obtain leaner mixtures at part loads without main needle adjustment and by adapting combination centrifugal and vacuum spark advance unit.
