Cycloidal propulsion as means for driving land vehicle offers omnidirectional drive with infinitely variable speed and tractive effort control, simplicity of design to extent that conventional brakes, transmissions, axles, and steering systems are eliminated and replaced by simple stick control; cycloidal propulsion takes advantages of lateral skid resisting characteristics of wheel to produce motion; principle is explained and vector analysis of wheel; development of cycloidal propulsion.
