Morag Mhor, 72 ft 3 in. in length, designed by Laurent Giles and Partners in conjunction with Saunders-Roe staff, for demonstrating possibilities of welding by self adjusting arc process, as applied to aluminum and its alloys, for ship construction; hull is framed on longitudinal system and has nine bulkheads; hull plating is of British Aluminium Co's BA-M27 alloy.
