Work involved in enlarging and improving outer harbor at IJmuiden, in Holland, included construction of new breakwaters, dredging and wreck dispersal in approach channel, and widening and deepening of North Sea Canal; some aspects of work, which makes harbor accessible to ships drawing 45 ft, are described.
