Development of 12-channel radiometer incorporating fast-response, high-sensitivity, wirewound-plated thermopiles, lenses, and optical bandpass filters for measurement of extraterrestrial solar irradiance and selected spectral components; signal conditioner includes 24-channel commutator with switching rate up to 16 channels/sec, d-c differential amplifier with gain of 1000 times and 28 v d-c to d-c power converter; signals (volts) are fed to magnetic tape recorder, in NASA X-15 rocket research aircraft, and to digital voltmeter printer, in NASA B-57B jet aircraft; preliminary results.
