Research work considers train formation plan as static task, in which accumulation of cars is assumed to be nearly uniform in time, and routes of particular flows determined in advance; optimum remarshalling policy for remaining car flows; algorithm described produces series of near to optimum solutions; it is shown that in addition to use of algorithm for normal train planning purposes it may be used to determine results of variants of investment plans and to evaluate different variants of transport routing.
