It is shown how programmed annual use of TCA (trichloracetic acid) saved Texas Highway Dept investment in paved shoulders; presurface application of 24 lb/ft mi of sodium TCA controlled growth of unwanted vegetation; features and operation of spray rig developed and fabricated by Texas Highway Dept for application of TCA.
