Accumulated technology necessary for practical application of fluorine as rocket propellant is presented; physical and chemical characteristics and properties of fluorine and fluorine-oxygen mixtures are considered in relation to specific areas in design and development of rocket systems and in testing and launch operations; areas include compatibility of materials; components and subsystems, fabrication and installation considerations; facility design criteria; facility preparation and operating procedures; vehicle systems requirements; production and transportation; and personnel safety.
